What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I give a small test to understand the level of a student,
make a plan and follow it adding correction during progress.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I prepare students from my country for final test after 9th and 11th grade which helps them to enter colleges and universities. Also I am familiar to SAT. I passed math part of SAT on Khan Academy and did correctly 36 of 41 excercises without any preparation.

I can teach russian and english speaking students not younger than 10. My level of English is B2(upper intermediate).

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My price is 20$ per hour

How did you get started teaching?

Once I was helping my friend's son to pass his math exam after 9th grade and enjoyed it so much so I decided to become a tutor.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have taught students of different age. I teach math and English children from 10 till 17. Also, I have several adults who want to learn English from beginning.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I was preparing one student for her final exam after 11th grade, but she was catching on the fly so fast so we decided to finish our course 4 months earlier than we had planned.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

1. If you don't like a tutor after the first lesson - find another one.

2. A good tutor explain everything clearly for you. If you don't understand - find another tutor.

3. If you don't want to study, even the best tutor won't help you.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What they want to study and why.
