English And Math Tutoring

My name is Jack Alberts and I am a 24-year-old who currently lives in New York City. I first started working with kids when I was in High School and I volunteered at an Elementary School to help young students with vocabulary and grammar. After High School, I attended the University of Michigan where I received a BFA in Acting Performance and a minor in Entrepreneurship. In 2018, I traveled to Sydney, Australia and further studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art for a semester. While in Sydney, I also worked with young Australian born children in Math and English. In 2019, I moved to NYC and became a private tutor for NYC families.

As an actor, I am a very energetic and passionate person and these qualities translate appropriately to tutoring. I am able to use my vigor and liveliness to help keep the students focused, while also gain a positive outlook on learning, which is just as crucial as anything else! From experience, I have observed that students respond well to my enthusiasm. Even during online sessions with a computer screen separating us, I have never had trouble holding the focus and maintaining the motivation of my clients.

I have now been working with young students for over 7 years and I can truthfully attest that my passion for helping them grow has only evolved. Witnessing one of my students learn, gain confidence and flourish in their studies, gives me an abundant amound of pride.
