About
First and foremost, we establish clear, progressive goals for students to aim for, then formulate a strategy by which to achieve those goals. This is the foundation of all successful achievements. Beyond that, we focus on engagement and relevancy above all else. Students should care about what they learn and understand how it is relevant to them. As Benjamin Franklin once said, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." We use this as a beacon for all education.
We enjoy helping people progress down a path towards success, however they may define it, by equipping them with the direction and skillset necessary to succeed in life and exceed expectations.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We set up an initial discussion to learn about what the students' goals are and what struggles they may be facing. Setting clear objectives is important for students and teachers/tutors alike.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers have a university degree and professional teaching license. They have experience with a diversity of curricula, including the International Baccalaureate program (IB/MYP/DP), Advanced Placement (AP), Cambridge (IGCSE), Common Core, Next Generation to name a handful.
Our teachers also have professional affiliations that may include any of the following: Americorps; National Education Association (NEA); International Baccalaureate Program (IBP); National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE); American Federation of Teachers (AFT); United Federation of Teachers (UFT); Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is dependent upon time, subject, and the number of students. It also depends on if students are being tutored or taking a prescribed class. But we aim to make it affordable as best we can.
How did you get started teaching?
We were launched by a coalition of teachers and businesspersons that felt education was lacking in practicality and purpose. Thus, we aim to help contribute what we feel is missing as best we can.
What types of students have you worked with?
Depending on the topic, the age ranges vary. The student ages run the gamut between middle school, high school, college, and adult learners. Generally speaking, basic communication skills (i.e. essay writing, for example) tend to be more popular among the 6-12 students, whereas financial literacy (i.e. investment) is popular among college-aged students, and advanced communication skills (persuasive speaking; public speaking etc) are popular among adults and college upperclassmen.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We are fond of any event that brings family and close friends together because we believe they are what matter most in a person's life.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Know what your goals are. Then, find someone you will actually enjoy working with... and remember that you are unique. Your goals may be common, but how you achieve them will be unique to you, so make sure the tutor interacts with you as a person and doesn't just see you as 'another lesson'. Best of luck!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals?
What are your struggles?
What is your ideal outcome? What do you feel is preventing you (if anything) from achieving your ideal outcome right now?
Are you willing to proactively work to develop your skills even outside of the class/tutoring session?
How do you feel before a class? Excited? Bored? Frustrated? Nervous? Joyful? Why do you feel this way?
