I have been tutoring for over 10 years and absolutely love it. I pride myself on helping students enjoy math by strategically plan sessions to help bridge learning gaps and make math more meaningful. I differentiate lessons for each student to help him or her reach their ultimate math goal. I build a positive rapport with my students. While we can cover a lot during sessions, I also understand that students may have questions that come up and need to be addressed in between sessions. I provide my students and their parents with my contact information or other resources to best help them.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For a new student, I start by seeing where they are mathematically. I determine their strengths and weaknesses by providing an age appropriate baseline assessment. For there I begin tutoring the student using material from their teachers or my own material. After a few sessions I retest and see if there was growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in secondary education in mathematics. I have been a high school teacher for the passed 6 years.
