Andrew Branch Math Tutoring
About
I've always loved math. I was the Salutatorian of my high school class. My New York State Math Regents Grades were 100 (Algebra); 98 (Geometry); 97 (Trigonometry). I took Advanced Placement Calculus my senior year.
Tutored Statistics in College 1992-1996. Also took Statistics again in grad school at NYU, where I was able to be of great assistance to my classmates. I have also tutored math informally at my church working with youth and even assisting one member who has to take a Statistics course for her PhD. Currently, I have been helping my son with his math since he had been in school.
I don't believe one has to be intimidated by math. It has an answer. It is not subjective (like English). Often you can check your answers. Rather than trying to memorize a bunch of formulas, I believe in trying to understand what your are actually doing when using mathematical formulas.
I have a BA in Economics from Drew University and a Matter of Urban Planning from NYU.
I believe in making math tutoring accessible and reasonably priced.
