About
I am an ivy league graduate and am intimately aware of what it takes to do well academically. I make sure to give my best to my students, and that includes getting to know who they are and what they relate to. My students are not simply a number for me. I am personally invested in every one of them.
I love the lightbulb moment when a student of mine has figured out something that's been an obstacle for them. I've been tutoring for almost 15 years. I started out doing SAT prep since I had a perfect SAT score. I've always loved math and science (I was pre-med at Columbia University) so eventually I branched out and began teaching math and science as well.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I give students a diagnostic assessment so that I can get a feel for their strengths and weaknesses. Then, I work to strengthen their foundation before building on that with more difficult material. I also find it important to empower my students so that their overall confidence increases, which also shows in their work
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked for several test prep/academic tutoring firms, including Revolution Prep and Private Prep. I've also worked for more boutique tutoring agencies that catered to the elite in Manhattan. In addition, I've spent time working in educational centers that served lower-income students. I've tutored for the SAT/ACT exams, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system. It depends on the class and the frequency of tutoring. The hourly rate decreases as the frequency of tutoring increases
How did you get started teaching?
I took a gap year between graduating from Columbia University and applying to medical school. I began tutoring for the SATs, fell in love with teaching, and never looked back
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students: students who fell behind on their coursework, students with adhd and IEPs, high level students, etc
