What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Prior to tutoring math & teaching dance, I had a successful 15-year career in Banking and Investments. I worked as a Product Manager and as an Investment Communications Manager at the head-offices for Canada's two largest banks: RBC and TD. I also worked for the Canadian regulator for investment fund oversight (MFDA), and for Canada's central bank, the Bank of Canada.
I have the regular police check in addition to the more in-depth Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) to be able to work with children & the elderly. I also have references from both parents and students.

How did you get started teaching?
Dori peer-tutored math throughout middle and high school. After earning an Engineering Diploma, Dori studied a Finance. By 2nd year of her Bachelor of Commerce Degree, St. Mary's University in Halifax hired Dori to become an Official Tutor of the University for Math, Finance, Calculus, and Computer Applications.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have previously worked with students of all ages from grades 1-12. However, I specialize in teaching math to grades 6-12 and GED, SAT, & ACT math.
I have also worked with a wide range of students from gifted children taking the Spirit of Math program, to those with IEPs and Learning Disabilities (LDs) such as Dyslexia, ADD / ADHD, Spacial Awareness difficulties, etc.
