About
I started taking a real interest in math in 7th grade when I joined the Gifted Math Program at UB. After I graduated from UB with a BA in Math and Economics (Magna Cum Laude) years later, I sought to share my passion for math with the world. I found myself in a position working along engineers doing work I found hardly meaningful. I thought it was time for a change.
I pursued tutoring as a profession through various tutoring agencies, but found many times I wasn't able to act in the best interests of the student. Often, inferior tutoring strategies were employed to maximize the student to teacher ratio, leaving many students without the help they deserve. I became an educator to create positive change in the world, so I decided it was time to take action.
I began my own agency, insisting that acting in the best interest of the student be our utmost objective, focusing on affordable one on one sessions. I've been very grateful for the positive feedback I've received in the short time since this agency's founding, and honestly, that is what keeps it alive and growing.
Teaching is imensly rewarding. I feel the greatest pleasures are the moments when you can see the smoke clear for a student and the gratitude there afterward.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find the best strategy is to first briefly show how to address the given issue in a broken down, easy to comprehend way. Then we'll move through some similar problems together until we both feel good about your understanding. I find that leaving with knowledge on how to do the problems in the future is of the utmost importance, so I like to end every session quickly constructing a review sheet, recalling each new thing we learned. You'll have an awesome reference to take home and look back to when similar problems become unclear.
