I am passionate about educating and am very personally invested in each person that I work with. I have had experience with one-on-one education as well as teaching in the classroom, but I find that working with individuals is always the most rewarding. I develop a good rapport of trust and respect with each of my students. I think it is within this space that the most learning can happen. I truly enjoy working with young people.
I love helping people find the ways that they learn the best. If someone can learn HOW to learn they can take it wherever they go in life. This is important for people at any age.

I previously had Professor Newell as a TA for Introduction to Art History at Hunter College. In class, she extensively reviewed the lectures and carefully demonstrated how to analyze artworks. I appreciated the specific feedback she provided on written assignments, and I could see my writing improve throughout the semester. Overall, she helped me prepare for future art history courses.
