About
I am very dedicated to helping kids learn. Even if it is learning how to read a book or teaching abc's. I love to inspire and influence and give children a purpose as to why they should pick up and read or write. I have tutored for about 5 years and many of my students have been Spanish speakers. Now they know how to read and write in English.
Every child is different in the strengths they have when it comes to reading whether it is hands on or being able to learn without a book in front of them. I am able to accustom myself to their necessity.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask for students to send me the work they need help with a day before so I can take a look at what we will be working on. From there I can adjust myself to their work ethics.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with children for 5 years and have been tutoring privately one on one with them.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am open to do arranges with whoever I am tutoring but my price would be 15 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was in a Saturday tutoring program and parents liked the way I taught their young kids pre k and kindergarteners. Since then I was asked to tutor privately.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many groups from pre k through 5th grade. Many have been Spanish speakers and it has been a pleasure to have taught them English.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had to make my students ABC flashcards and parents were extremely happy that I did that. One because their teachers never did and two because the students were so happy and excited to use them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I think it all has to do with who the student will be comfortable with and their teaching styles.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think students should ask how can you help me and how can you teach me what I am having trouble with.
