Frequently asked questions

I sit down with them with a problem that they are struggling with, and give them the resources to solve their problem on their own.

If it seems like they cannot grasp the resources, I ask for some previous tests so that i can Analyze them for any consistent discrepancies.

I started by helping my friends and peers with their homework. They told me that when i explained mathematical concepts, it made more sense than how the teacher explained them .

I have worked with Honors Students, and Students that constantly find it difficult to Focus.

I remember teaching a Child that constantly could not focus, because there was alot of negative reinforcement. He didn't get along with his tutors, and they would often yell at him. Instead of getting frustrated when he didnt understand something, I took it slow, and calmly pointed out mistakes that he made. Intermittently I asked him about things that he liked to do in his free time, and integrated those concepts into the tutoring to keep his attention, and decrease his stress.

At the End of the year, I got him out of a failing math grade and into the High C's. His Mother Thanked me, and so did he.

The Internet is your best friend. There are lots of Tips and Tricks that you can find on Youtube that are described in a million different ways by a million different people. If you keep serching, You'll either find someone who explains things in a manner that you understand, or you'll at least see a pattern in the way problems are approached.

Do I know what i need to do to solve this problem?

Can I find an Example of this problem in the text book?

Have I tried to apply the techniques shown in the textbook/online with no correct results?
