I am a student at Binghamton University majoring in cinema. I love working with kids and have worked in babysitting and as a camp councellor for over five years. I like making studying less stressful by using a lot of positive encouragement and using a gentle approach.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the student first by chatting with them and learning about their interests. I then incorporate those interests into the study sessions to keep the student excited and engaged in their work. I also ask the student and/or parent if there are any strategies they already use so that we can practice those skills together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although I have no formal training as a teacher, I have had some expierience tutoring before in math, Hebrew, English, and social studies. I have also worked as a martial arts instructor and a camp councellor, which taught me how to help kids learn discipline and confidence.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard price is $30/hr, but I am open to discuss further if there are any issues.
