About

Raised in a family of teachers I have developed at an early age my own ways of making learning more enjoyable for ages K-12. I completed my math credits sophomore year of high school and graduated with excellent grades in 6 AP and 4 Honors classes. Although I am helpful in science, my skills lie more in math and English. I have tutored on and off for almost half of my life and I always find myself coming back to it. With the size of classes constantly expanding and the number of teachers swiftly declining, it's my job to create an opportunity for you to have some one on one guidance that focuses on your strengths and struggles.

Frequently asked questions

I think the most important part about learning is the relationship between teacher and student, I think that most students would agree that their environment plays such a big part in the way they absorb information. If they're not comfortable and free to be themselves then they're not focused on the material at hand. I can teach tips and tricks and lessons endlessly, but its useless if nothing is being heard. That's why I always try to make the learning environment welcoming and fun.

I was a student aide for multiple teachers at Olympic View and Palomar Elementary school. There was a point a few years ago when it felt like class sizes almost doubled in size, and many teachers (family members included) felt like they didn't have enough time to give individual help to the students that needed it. That trend has unfortunately continued, class sizes grow and more and more kids get left unseen. I hope to be able to be here to help with that issue.

Make sure your personalities blend well. I hate to repeat myself so much but I really believe it! We're working, yes, but this is the 1 on 1 time you just can't get in class. We should be able to talk about other things too! Everyone says that you should make learning fun when what it really is about is having fun while learning.

I think if a student needs help, then a student needs help, plain and simple. It's always good to try to work things out on your own at first but, especially in subjects like math, there's only so much you can do on your own if you really just don't understnad it.
