I have been in education for over 20 years working with students of all grade levels. I work with each student based upon his/her level and what level he/she needs to achieve. I meet students where they are and determine any gaps that need to be filled in order for them to be successful. Once a student is confortable thw their math ability, their anxiety in math classes is greatly reduced.
I enjoy when the light bulb ights up and my students understand the concept and are able to complete a problem on their own.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I get to know the student through questions or ice breaker games.
Then we may do an assessment to see if there are gaps in knowledge
Finally we will work on the students homework and some extensions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelors and a Masters degree in education and have over 20 years of experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Currently, my base price is $30 per hour withing a 15 mile radius.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching at a very young age by working with my cousins and sibling to improve their academic skills. I have always enjoyed helping students to understand the material, be it Math, Language Arts and even English As A Second Language.
