Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually speak to the parent on the phone first to discuss their needs, goals, and what the student is currently having issues with. Only then can we get started and determine which tutor is the best fit for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a tutor to students in Las Vegas for the last 5 years of my life. I graduated as valedictorian of my high school with a 4.85 GPA. I also graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Nevada College with a 3.95 GPA. I have been a straight-A student throughout my education and have a multitude of honor roll and Dean's list awards.
I am an accomplished tutor so I am able to identify the best tutors in the industry. We have them as a part of Horizon Star Tutoring
