Olsen Math Tutoring

My name is Mr. Ray Olsen and I am a teacher for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I am certified to teach Computers, Math, and Business courses with the Clark County School District (CCSD). I have a BA in communication theory through the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

I have a Masters in Education through Lesley University. I have also completed courses through CCSD and the CTE (Commitment to Education) program receiving certificates in Technology.

I have been teaching with CCSD for the past 23 years. Throughout these years I have been a math and computer teacher at Knudson MS. I have taught math at Canarelli MS. Additionally, I was the Educational Computer Specialist (ECS) at Knudson MS, Canarelli MS, and Cowan Sunset HS. My current teaching assignment is at Cowan Academic Center in which I facilitate the Apex lab for students that need to make up their credits utilizing online distant learning. I have also taught in the evening at Cowan sunset HS for the past 23 years.Cowan sunset HS which is a credit retrieval school in which students can make up their credits so they can graduate from high school. I have taught and facilitated the Apex online distant learning lab and taught Math and Computers, and have been the ECS at Cowan sunset HS.

I love teaching. I have the opportunity to inspire young minds. I work with students all day in my day school facilitating the Apex program at my school. Apex is an online platform for blended learning in which students can make up their credits for their High school classes. I have taught both Middle School and High School students throuout my career. I have taught various classes in math for most of my career as a teacher.

It is my intention to assist you with finding ways to learn the material that is necessary for you to be successful in your class at your regular home school environment.
