Delaney Painter Tutoring
About
My name is Delaney Painter, but you can call me Dylan. I am new graduate from St John's College, a program very focused on the history of math and science, along with the philosophical developments that went along with it. I am very experienced in pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. My experience with Geometry comes from working through Euclid freshman year, and Calculus comes from working through Newtons Principa. Because of the focus on original sources texts, I have a very strong understanding of where the concepts and formulas develop from.
I am very skilled at communication, and prefer a discussion oriented path to learning. I am eager to be collaborative in learning!
I have a passion for math, and aim to pursue a teaching license after I graduate. I have a lot of experience tutoring my peers with algebra and geometry through my years of education, and I've worked with children with ADHD and Autism to find ways of approaching math that makes sense to them. My goal in tutoring is to make mathematics accessible and exciting for any student, and the first step of that is creating a safe learning environment.
I think the wonderful thing about math is that one concept can be presented in many different ways, so let's find the presentation that makes the most sense for you ✨
