What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from age 5 through college. I have tutored in everything from beginning reading, science test prep, and mathematics homework and classwork help.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your tutor or teacher listens to your needs and asks the right questions. This is for your success, and you should be the one guiding that.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Here are few helpful ideas:
1. What is my overall goal? What do I want to accomplish?
2. How will a tutor help me reach that goal?
3. What are some things about my learning style that makes it easy or difficult to learn challenging material?
