About
I am a senior at Hunter College High School NY, which "represents the top one-quarter of 1% of students in New York City." I am graduating at the top of my class with admission offers from various prestigious schools including Yale University, Princeton University, Brown University, Columbia University, and Cornell University this coming fall. I received a 36 on the ACT, 800s on the Math II and Biology SAT II's, and 5s on the AP Biology and AP Chemistry exams. I have had professional research experience in immunology at Memorial Sloan Kettering, publishing my work and presenting at national conferences. Furthermore, I have gained national recognition for my writing through the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards as well as the National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Awards in Writing. I have been tutoring privately since 2014 in a variety of subjects (Mathematics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, English Language Arts, Essay Writing, Creative Fiction/Poetry, etc.). I am passionate about working with students and would like to help out in any way that I can.
Being able to inspire knowledge and help students find new connections and passions in their learning is the most rewarding part of being a teacher. I have spent weeks working to spread STEM education, not only to underclassmen but also students in Liberia, all with the hopes of establishing solid foundations that their own innovation and curiosity can build upon. I hope to build strong connections with my students and help them achieve their goals.
