Hello! My name is Daniela, a NYS certified elementary & middle school teacher. I am incredibly passionate about teaching children in a multi-sensory, individualized, hands-on way. I have years of experience in both Special Education and mainstream classrooms, and know how to effectively scaffold and differentiate work. Having taught a range of Kindergarten to 6th grade, I am confident I can meet your child's needs!
I love being a teacher more than anything. Engaging and teaching learners through multi-sensory, hands-on games makes everyday enjoyable!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When meeting a new student, I strongly emphasize forming a relationship. I want to learn about their life and interests, which I will later embedd into my lessons to better engage them. I will also informally assess where their needs lie so I can tailor lessons specifically to their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two Masters degrees in both General and Special Education. I have been a lead teacher for 6 years, and am trained in the Orton-Gillingham reading approach, The Hochman Methon writing program, and both Singapore Math and Touch Math.
