I am passionate and driven to help children learn new skills. I begin with rapport building with a new student and make the work seem fun to students and it work's incredibly well! I have an educational background and a licensed Speech Pathologist for 33 years. All subjects and/or area's of need are covered completely. I believe I have an excellent skill repertoire to make students succeed! I do standardized test prep NYC G&T TEST, NYC T&E , NYC HUNTER STANFORD BINET-5, WPPSI,
WISC V Pre-k-3rd grade IOWA, NNAT, CogAT, AP ENGLISH COLLEGE ESSAYS SPEECH PATHOLOGY STANDARDIZED TESTS TOLD-5, PLS, G&T TEST OF ARTICULATION FOR kindergarten through 5th grade, and I make certain that they will get in to private schools and my success rate is 95-100%!
I enjoy 37+ years experience teaching children and seeing the success of their hard work in the form of mastery of reading, math, and writing skills so the students are doing their best and that's a gift to me!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First session: introduce myself as Miss Evan. I try to build rapport with each student and find what they love and try to incorporate that into lesson plans so that my sessions with the students are work but making it fun is best!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a NYS Licensed Speech Pathologist. I have many many years or early childhood and elementary school experience teaching children academic readiness skills and working with children that are struggling with many different areas of deficit such as difficulty with reading, writing , math,grammatical skills, story grammar rules, creative writing and language skills acquisition.

My 33 years experience and accomplishments make me a very very special professional! I am certified in PROMPT, NOMAS, SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES. Therefore, I bring a dynamic, fluid way to teach students and go off lesson plans if it's not working always have a back up plan to implement into that session.
