About
I went to a private high school in Los Angeles and graduated from Wesleyan University. I studied Film and American Studies with a 3.8 GPA. I took AP American History, AP English, AP Art, film studies, creative writing, etc. and still have resources from my high school and college-level classes.
I can help other kids who are struggling to enjoy learning and connect with the material. My methods are tried and true and got me through school and into Wesleyan.
I enjoy witnessing "aha!" moments with my students. I enjoy making something that seemed insurmountable suddenly doable. I enjoy moments when my students learn something that they think is genuinely cool and interesting.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask the student what they are struggling with the most and how they feel about school. I overcame learning difficulties in my own education and had to work twice as hard to be at the top of my class and graduate from a very prestigious university. Every student is different and I take a different approach each time I work with a student depending on what they need.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a visual art teacher at a summer camp for many years, currently work as an educator at an arts space in New York and a homework helper for the kids that I babysit.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you find someone who cares, is nonjudgmental and will work with you until you get it right.
