I’m Maria, and I’m a writer, educator, and Oxford grad who wants to help you with your college essay and writing. I have over ten years of experience, including with EFL students.
My essays, articles, and criticism has been published in the Ploughshares blog, The Times Literary Supplement, and PRI’s The World among other places. One of my essays was even named a Notable Essay in Best American Essays 2018.
As an educator, I’ve worked with college freshmen helping them develop their writing, critical thinking, and research skills so that they can have the confidence and know-how to work on their own. My students have come up to me after our classes and told me that writing for other classes is easy and that they now know exactly what to do after taking my courses.
I speak Turkish and Modern Greek in addition to English.
