About this tutor

My name is Gigi and I offer tutoring services in Math, Science, English and French. I have graduated with a Master of Science in Physics and English Literature at the University of Sorbonne in Paris. As education has always been a great interest of mine, I try to help my students reach their maximum potential in any subject, whether it’s problem solving, essay writing, oral presentations, test preparations etc. My method of teaching focuses on giving the student the necessary skills and confidence to become an independent thinker.

With more than 10 years of teaching experience in France, Canada and the U.S. I teach elementary and high school, college, university students and adults. I have helped students prepare for entrance exams, essay writing, ESL, interviews etc. My students have different academic levels and I personalize my approach to every student's needs. I have worked with students who have struggled in school and academia, and I have helped them overcome their fear and dislike in math and science.

The first tutoring session consists of understanding my student’s strengths and weaknesses and setting up a plan based on the student’s needs. I am patient and understanding, and I want my student to become independent and skilled. I believe that parents also have to get involved with their children’s academic performance which is why I work closely with them.

It's with great pleasure and enthusiasm to teach students in various subjects and to help them succeed in their studies. As a teacher, it is always important to see my students do their best with my help and get the best results. Teaching in a relaxed and friendly environment is wonderful, especially since it helps students concentrate and learn more efficiently than in an actual classroom setting. The best part about tutoring is to meet amazing students and to have an impact on their education!

Gigi is one of the best teachers I've come across. Her classes are engaging, humorous and frankly fun. Her material is easy to follow and she will go above and beyond to make the lessons interesting and provide helpful resources to check out on your own time. I am not someone who enjoys being in a school setting yet I found myself looking forward to these classes every day. She is a fantastic teacher :)

Excellent tutor! Gigi has helped me improve my communication skills in English. Her lessons are engaging, interactive and fun. I had no confidence when starting to learn English, but now I speak fluently at work and in a professional setting. The best teacher you can find!
