About
I am a Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude college graduate, and had a 4.0 GPA in graduate school. With over 35 years of experience, I include the following objectives: 1) discussing goals and expectations of both parents and students; 2) observing student work to identify areas of strength and need; 3) connecting new concepts to those the student already understands; 4) fostering a firm understanding of the material; and 5) illustrating multiple ways to tackle an assignment or problem.
Personal gratification derives from fostering any student's increase understanding of the material and developing a relationship with them that is respectful, trusting and calm. When their confidence and competence increase, the students make my day!
