Frequently asked questions

I sit down for a (no fee) consultation with the student first to understand the need and explain how I transfer knowledge. This is done thru a video call or a phone call. Depending on the subject area I do ask questions where the student needs most help and share my thoughts. Only then I go with the student provided the student feels comfortable with my process of teaching and I feel confident that I can make a change.

Normally I charge $50+ an hour depending on the subject. For Advanced/ AP course the rate is higher.

From my undergraduate/ graduate study I had to teach introductory courses. . My first job was a teaching position with the University of Minnesota (3 years).

Middle and High school students, Students at the community college and undergraduate students.

One of my student and I had lots of fun in solving math problems as puzzles (finite geometry).

I will advise the student to feel comfortable first before engaging into tutoring.

To think about where the problem of understanding lies and how to articulate the problem.
