Mrs. Agee’s Tutoring
About
Hi! My name is Mrs. Agee, but you can call me Stephanie. I have had a long lived passion for teaching. While obtaining my bachelors degree in psychology, I worked at an after school day care program at a local YMCA. While obtaining my multiple subject teaching credential from Long Beach State University, I nannied for a 3 year old little boy. Before I had my daughter, I taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades and loved every one of them! I’m excited to help your child learn and understand whatever subjects may be a little more difficult for them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I first meet a new student, I like to get to know them. I want to learn about their personality, likes and dislikes, hobbies, etc. I try to relate the topics we are studying to things that each student is interested in. I also like to figure out their individual learning style. Everyone learns in their own way so making sure I figure out the best way each student learns will help them to have better success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started working with kids at an after school and summer day camp program through a local YMCA while obtaining my bachelors degree. I then nannied for a 3 year old boy while obtaining my multiple subject teaching credential. After finishing school, I taught for 4 years in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades. I stopped teaching when I had my daughter to stay home with her and I’m now ready to work in the education field again, but not ready to go back full time.
How did you get started teaching?
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with students ranging from 3 years old to 13 years old, working on multiple different subjects.
