My na me is Larissa Korkina and I'm a master piano faculty at the Lawrenceville School and Westminster Choir College. Last year I celebrated with my dear students and collegues 25 years in teaching and perfoming at Westminster Choir College.
My philosophy is to find the uniqueness of each individual student - whether child or adult and help them to grow musically and artistically to become a well rounded, intelligent, expressive musician.I also specialize in coaching chamber music ensembles, accompanying singers as well as preparation for different Auditions, Competitions, Festivals, including the Trinity College Exam. My prior students have been accepted to Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Stamford, NYU among others.My students have recieved awards from the Piano Music Teachers Society of America, Cecilian Music Club, MTNA, Fine arts Festival, Westminster Concerto Competition and performed in the Weill Recital Hall of the Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Kimmel Center of Philadelphia among others. Ms. Korkina is a resipient of the prestigious Genia Robinor Pedagogy Award and the Distinguished Pedagogy Award from the Cecilian Competition.
