Hi! I am a Special Education teacher with 13 years of teaching experience. I've taught in a variety of classroom settings, including general education classrooms, ICT settings and self- contained settings. I have worked with a variety of age groups (ranging from Kindergarten- 6th grade). I have my Bachelor's Degree in General Education, Masters Degree in Special Education and a second Masters in School Building Administration. I am trained and certified in research based reading programs such as SPIRE & Fundations. I am very familiar with the curricula that most schools are currently using, which helps benefit my approaches to each tutoring session. I'm familiar with effective instructional approaches. In addition, I ensure to modify the curriculum in order to adress the students' specific learning styles & needs. I prioritize using formative & summative data to drive my instructional decisions for every child.

My priority as an educator is addressing each child's needs holistically. I ensure to give strategies to help the child achieve his or her goals. My theory is never to lower the bar for my students, but instead raising the bar for each child. Each child can reach the highest bar given, when given the appropriate tools and strategies.
