Hello! My name is Monica and I am confident I have the qualifications to help your child! I currently work in North Plainfield as a special education teacher. I have taught all elementary grade levels, and am certified to teach grades K-12. Additionally, I hold certifications in Middle School mathematics, Orton Gillingham, and am a certified Reading Specialist. I currently work with many students who have difficulties in reading, writing, and math and use a multi-sensory approach to help them improve their scores and overall confidence in school. I am currently teaching a summer program at the Newark Academy and teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 enrichment courses. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to reach out. I enjoy helping my students shine and succeed. I firmly believe the importance of working with a child's strengths to target their weaknesses. Each child is unique, has individualized learning styles, as well as their own talents. The most amazing part of my job is learning each of my student's talents and using them to help them learn and improve their confidence in school and all aspects of life.
