About
I've wanted to be a teacher since the 7th grade and tutoring was my window into the career early! I have been tutoring since I was a senior in high school and have now graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education (4-8) and am a certified 5-12 Mathematics Educator. I believe that every student has the potential to learn math and most times it only takes making the content relevant and interesting! I go above and beyond for my students, allowing them to contact me at any time of day with questions - even if it is outside of our normal tutoring schedule. I have experience tutoring K-11 in Mathematics and have enjoyed the relationships these opportunities have given me with my students!
Teaching has always been my passion. Working with students, through tutoring, allows me to focus on their individual strengths and weakness to improve at their own pace. I work with students to not only build their fundamental math skills, but their confidence overall to improve their likelihood of retaining content information. Many students fear math because of the mistakes they may make - I make sure that they understand that everyone makes mistakes, myself too!
