About
Really love helping and explaining to children and high school students in multiple areas of math.
Worked at Kumon for two years gaining experience with children and high school students who struggled with math and helped them attain grades they needed.
Currently a College student earning a degree in Electrical Engineering.
The satisfaction of having a student understand and be able to work autonomously is a feeling that is undescribable. It shows the work you put in will lead you to the results you want.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Go through and understand their strengths and weaknesses. Try and target their weaknesses and practice as much as we possibly can as practice is the most important aspect of math. My goal when tutoring someone is not to only help their weaknesses but to ultimately lead them to problem solving on their own.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a current college student enrolled at the School of Engineering at Rutgers University. I am planning on majoring in Electrical Engineering, a field that is entirely math based. Throughout High School and College so far I have been tutoring peers and children from levels of elementary math to calculus 1. I also spent time at Kumon for a year, gaining expereicne with children and tutoring mainly kids from kindergarten to middle school.
How did you get started teaching?
I started to teach others when some of my friends were really struggling with their math in High School. I spent a lot of time with peers going over and explaining them concepts that their teachers could not explain to them in class clearly.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids all the way from Kindergarten up to Sophomores in college.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what you are capable of. Know the basis of what you can and cannot do. A good tutor will open your mind up to try and take those strengths that you already have and apply it to your needs.
