I am passionate about helping students build a strong foundation in mathematics to ensure not only current, but continued success in their academic journey. I hold a degree in math secondary education, have classroom teaching experience, and have personally worked with close to 100 math students both virtually and in-person. My previous experience also includes working for a nationally recognized tutoring company where I was the lead math tutor and a math tutoring curriculum developer. I have experience working with students with wide-ranging backgrounds including students with dyscalculia, ADHD, and learning gaps due to various challenges including learning disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic. I focus my tutoring to work around the unique challenges that the student may be facing, and seek to not only help them succeed with current material, but fill in any gaps in their math knowledge they may have acquired previously. When working with students under 18, I also place a heavy focus on communicating with parents/guardians to make sure they are kept in the loop and have the opportunity to provide any input or ask any questions.
