What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We here, at "The Math Doctor", roll up our sleeves, dive right in & get to work. During the first 2 or 3 sessions we ascertain the pulse (Diagnostic) of our students and accentuate their positive Math skills and redirect any misconceptions that may have regarding Math or Algebra or the Math topic at hand, via Zoom. With hourly sessions at only $35 / hour with the first hourly lesson ABSOLUTELY FREE $$ This way you risk nothing at all. No strings attached. No minimum number of sessions to commit. No Credit Card information required.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My training specifically includes 18+ years as a Highly Qualified / Certified NJ Math Teacher I have tutored hundreds of students in Math and Algebra and SAT Math preparation, all 1:1, in order to be most attentive and individualized to my students. These numbers are in addition to the thousands of students I specifically have taught over my 18+ year career as a Classroom Math Teacher. Other members of my staff have similar experience with 3 to 9 years as Certified Math Teachers and Tutors.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Student fees begin at (Elementary level) $35 per hour and increase in degree of expertise required for higher level Mathematics such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, SAT Preparation, Pre Calculus, etc.

How did you get started teaching?

I began teaching Mathematics in 2000, after a career in Nursing as a Registered Nurse. I always enjoyed assisting students in their Mathematical struggles. Some Word Problems can seem so overwhelming. I often recall this feeling as I child and I aim to remove those anxious feelings during my teaching process. It is not a healthy place and is certainly not conducive to learning.
