We offer very efficient tutoring based on state verified curriculum. We offer more hours at a lower price without the sacrifice of quality. Our tutors are in the top 10% of the school and have experience tutoring kids as young as 5 years old. We offer a variety of standard math courses as well as Programming (Java), Advanced Placement Courses and SAT prep. Our philosophy of tutoring places the student and how they progress at the center of the teaching; we will not leave students behind despite our focus on speed and efficiency.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will give a short assesment (5-10 mins) to gauge their abilities and their understanding. Then we will see what areas they need stengthening and practice. We always make sure the student masters the topic before moving on to ensure the material is understood.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At UPrep, we have tutors that are top of their class. These are students that have taken multiple AP and Honors classes in various subjects and have still thrived academically. Most students tutor other classmates throughout the school year and all our tutors also have experience teaching younger children.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For general tutoring and homework help, we usually charge about $30 an hour with the best available tutor. We also offer full mathematics courses for all levels K-12 and even some college level algebra and calculus. For our full year math courses we charge an upfront price of $400 for 12 weeks and unlimited sessions. Many team members have programming experience and we offer Introduction to Computer Science for 12 weeks, unlimited sessions for $500. Finally, we also offer SAT Prep for all skill levels and have seen phenomenal point increases. Our SAT Tutors scored in the top 1% of the nation and for the 12 week prep unlimited sessions we charge $500.
How did you get started teaching?
All UPrep Tutors began teaching throughout their schooling. From classmates to younger siblings, teaching has been a skill that has been honed for many years. We decided to reach out to others to spread our knowledge and make sure no one feels like they cannot reach their academic goals.
What types of students have you worked with?
We primarily work with high school students but have tons of experience with younger kids. A couple of UPrep Tutors teach programming to young kids at coding events and many of our Tutors also tutor younger siblings. Collectively, we have all worked with students of all backgrounds, skill levels and ages.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do not shy away from asking for help. It is what we are here for. UPrep Tutors and most of all other tutors will always make sure that you receive all the help you can get and that you can reach your academic goals.
