About
If there's anything that I love more than math and science, it's helping people. I want people to not just pass their course - or get an A - but to actually understand the topics at hand.
I have taken multiple AP classes, and I am currently taking AP Calc BC.
I scored 1520 on my SATs and I have prior experience working at Kumon with math topics ranging from basic arithmetic to complex calculus topics.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually ask them what they already know and to explain the concepts back to me just to make sure they fully understand. I like to test the student on what they already know through practice problems and tests.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I previously worked at Kumon for a year.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I start at $25 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started through my branch of the National Honors Society and tutored kids at my school for free. When I found out that I thoroughly enjoyed teaching, I continued to work at Kumon.
What types of students have you worked with?
I usually work with kids ranging from ages 5 to 18.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
There was a student while I worked at Kumon who would often get frustrated quickly, but I admired how even though he struggled he still worked to improve and eventually succeeded at learning the concepts that he didn't think he could.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone in your price range and make sure they're qualified. Additionally, every tutor is different. If possible, ask for a trial lesson in order to see if they work for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure they really understand what they are struggling with and what they excel at.
