Ms. Caroline's Language Arts Tutoring
About
I love what I do. Let's just start there.
Reading, whether it's the newest best seller or an American classic, and writing are hobbies I enjoy daily. Teaching and guiding others in their own educational journey is fun and rewarding for me.
I am an avid reader and writer, a grammar policewoman, and someone who probably needs to buy a word of the day calendar, because I love dropping obscure words in everyday conversations. I graduated college with a BS degree and a minor in Writing. I have even had a few of my shoirt stories published on online platforms.
During the school year, I am a teacher, and I am excited to proceed on this educational journey with you.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The beginning of an educational relationship begins with exploring the preferred learning styles of the student. What are the student's strengths and weaknesses? What type of learning method does he or she prefer? Everybody processes information differently. What works for one student does not necessarily work for the next.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a BS and a minor in Writing. I later returned to school to achieve my teaching certificate. Currently, I teach during the school year.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally charge $40 per lesson.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The birth of my son! (too cheesy? but true!)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that excites you. It's difficult to flourish with a teacher and subject that doesn't give you some inspiration.
