About
Hello there. Thanks for stopping by! I have been a full-time lecturer at a university in upstate New York since 2017. I have a master’s degree in statistics and a doctorate degree in applied mathematics. My areas of expertise lie in probability and statistics, and I have been teaching several test prep classes for the preliminary actuarial exams. I am knowledgeable in all levels of high school and undergraduate level mathematics ranging from algebra to calculus.
I am proficient with Microsoft Office and some statistical software packages such as Minitab. My method of teaching varies widely on the ability and experience of the student. I can tutor anyone from algebra I and up. In the first few sessions, I would like to get to know the student and why the student is taking a certain math class. Then we go from there and I develop a learning plan for the first one to two weeks. The plan is specific to the need of the student. Before working as a professor, I had several years experience tutoring and grading as a teacher assistant. Please inquire more if interested in my tutoring services.
