I've been tutoring privately in NYC for over 20 years and pride myself on my ability to connect with my students both academically and personally. This is regardless of the students' ages, backgrounds, or ability levels. If you or your child struggle with an attention disorder or learning disability, I do not judge and I can relate.
Above all, my tutoring stands out because it's always focused on attaining practical, tangible results, whether's it's improving students' grades, achieving their target test scores, or getting into their dream college. I never lose sight of my students' goals and ambitions.
I derive a unique satisfaction knowing that I make a direct and lasting difference in my students' lives and careers. Many of my students and their parents keep in touch with me even after I finish tutoring them. These long-term relationships give me a sense of fulfillment and purpose in my work.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first do a preliminary phone or Zoom consultation to get an idea of the student's current situation as well as his or her needs and goals. I will then make specific recommendations on how much help the student needs, how frequently the tutoring should occur, and how realistic the student's goals are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
* I hold a B.S. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where I was a Dean's List student.
* I've scored in the top two or three percent nationwide for all the standardized tests I tutor.
* I've tutored privately in the NYC metro area for over twenty years and have worked with students from all the top school districts, prestigious independent schools, and elite city high schools.

My pricing is flat at $130 an hour for online tutoring or for sessions held at my Great Neck, NY office. Rates are higher for in-home tutoring and depend on travel time and distance. You can contact me for an exact quote.
