I'm a professional data analyst who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Mathematics and English, and an MFA in Game Design. As someone who works with numbers every day, I consider math and statistics to be my specialty, but I have tutored in reading and writing as well.
I've been tutoring since 2015, originally focusing mainly on SAT/ACT prep, and successfully raising my students' scores by 3-5 points in all subjects. I took a break in 2021 to focus on developing my other career as a data analyst, but am eager to get back to sharing knowledge with students!
Most of my work has been with high school or college students, but I am open to working with younger children as well.
Fun fact about me: I have worked as a professional video game designer, and love using games as examples when tutoring. I believe that the most important part of tutoring is getting students to celebrate and take pride in their own thought process, so that they build a lasting motivation to learn.
