About
I am a Financial Economics major at Columbia University, and have become highly skilled in a number of subject areas, namely Mathematics, Economics and English Language/English Literature. I would love to transfer these skills to younger students in the fun, productive and innovative environment that I will provide for them.
I stand out as a tutor because I have a passion for sharing my knowledge with others. I am a conscientious, enthusiastic and focused learner and believe that I am effective in transferring these traits to my students.
I also have a uniquely thorough method of tuition which focuses on giving the students a deep understanding of the syllabus before testing students on their knowledge with regular quizzes and practice papers. My most recent tuition experience spanned 4 and a half years as an assistant instructor in karate for over 100 students, where I taught children aged 5-17 the traditional wado-ryu syllabus, organised games and activities and also provide pastoral support.
I would love an opportunity to continue teaching young students and inspire them to reach their true potential.

I enjoy seeing the development of my students over the course of the tuition process. There is no more satisfying feeling for me than seeing them achieve highly in their tests, gaining confidence and reassurance along the way.
