I take more time makeing sure the student has a basic understanding of the work we are going over before starting anything else. This will help them feel more confident and ultimately help in the long run. All my life I have been helping kids in my town and really my siblings daily with their work from school. I started to realize that work in general can be understood by all no matter who you are but only once they understand the basics.
