About
Beyond the lesson time, I closely monitor each student's progress on an individual assignment level, systematically targeting weaknesses with strategic interventions. I help my students connect and integrate their skills in math, language, and comprehension to reach peak performance across the entire test. During the lesson, I always focus on simplying the content being tested, sidestepping distracting wording to get at the heart of the problem. I have seen rapid improvements take place over the course of a few months and sometimes a few weeks
I love working with students across all aspects of the SAT/ACT. It is very fulfilling to help each student break down barriers, access learning insights, and improve their confidence in tackling any challenge.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will usually begin by assessing past experiences with the test, previous preparation, as well as relevant academic workload. I'll go into detail on official score reports to see which categories, content, and question types constitute major strengths and weaknesses. I will find out about students aspirations for colleges and what timeframes are in play. Then, I will build a program to address the students unique needs and study habits.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Licensed K-12 English Teacher with experience full time in NJ school system. I have taught SAT/ACT preparation for 6 years and have worked with diverse body of students, including special education and gifted/talented. I teach all sections of both tests and have developed a rigorous math curriculum to address students across the spectrum.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The pricing system will depend on whether lessons are purchased individually or in a package. The price will also depend on lesson time, namely 1 hour, 90 minute, or 2 hour lessons. I will recommend the lesson time based differences in student schedule, timeline before the test, and level of score improvement needed.
