For Those Who Want To Learn

My business stands out as I really want to help students do better in their studies so that they can accomplish more in live. Id like to tutor in Math (5 grade and below) but can teach reading, grammar, and some others. I belive so many kids have potential but either have parents that have other responsibilities and cant afford the time, or just think the student can do it on their own. I have been tutoring a family of children for the past 10 years, not officially but spent alot of time going through their weak areas with them. Currently I just finished tutoring an 11 year old through summer school. We are waiting for her grades but the teacher has already said that she shows improvement, and will past on to 6th grade. I have a Masters Degree in Science in Foods and Nutrition, which doesn't exactly fit into this role, but I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes and weight loss classes, led nutrition meetings that physicians attended and nurses attended. In these positions one of my main roles was to teach about healthy diets, weight loss diets, supplementation-undersupplementation and oversupplementation that can be dangerous in some situations. I've taught patients individually and in group on every type of diet plan one can think of. In order to get my degrees I've had to do alot of math including lots of algebra. Since as we all should know that everything we do involved mathematics. I love children, took care of foster children years ago, and I have a deep passion to help people, elderly but especially children. I would also be interested in teaching older individuals how to read as I have been in environments where parents are not able to help their children as they themselves cannot read or do math, etc. Therefore the child winds up going to summer school or not being promoted to the next grade. I am used to working with underpriveledged children, but would love to teach any child from any background. I hope that I have exhibited my passion for teaching. Please let me know what you think. I would not mind going to take more classes on these topics as I really love learning myself.

I love attempting to make a difference in a child life. I want them to know how math is involved in every aspect of life and in all sorts of careers. I want to build up their faith in themselves so they will be more self confident in moving on to the next grades and finally on to their careers. Just because they are having some trouble in math doesn't mean they can't understand it. Just that they need some help and lots of children do esp during pandemic.
