About
Experience Summary:
I am a mother of a child whom I successfully homeschooled in a variety of subjects prior to starting school (our situation changed and I was not able to continue full-time homeschooling). However, I continued to supplement learning and exploration outside of school. At her interest, she began reading at age 3 and was already fluently reading books to her classmates in Kindergarten. • I have taught as both teacher and assistant at Sunday Schools and have worked as a camp counselor during my high school years. Post high school, I volunteered at a special needs clinic with developmentally delayed children. • I am a strong believer in multiple intelligences and in nurturing to encourage growth and development.
Teaching Style:
I strive to understand the nature of my clients, and use that understanding to help create a teaching structure. I am a patient motivator, and attempt to use different methodologies if better suited to my client's understanding of the material. I look to incorporate learning with the real world.
