I like to start by finding out what he/she finds troubling about that particular subject. That way, I can customize the topics to focus on when I tutor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Math instructor for 15 years at a two-year college. Also, I am a Tutoring Coordinator and have tutored Developmental and College-Level Math at the same college as well as being a private tutor.
