I am a certified K-12 Title 1 Mathematics teacher. I have been teaching for 11 years teaching Math 8, Algebra 1, Plane Geometry, & Algebra 2.
I enjoy teaching math and I am passionate about the subject. I enjoy helping kids and watching them better understand the subject and be successful over time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I like to see where the students strengths and weaknesses are before going right into the material they need help on. I will work on areas that the student is struggling with and like to break down any problem into steps so it is organized and easier to follow and understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified K-12 Mathematics Teacher. I have my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction K-5 Math and I have been teaching for 10 years.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience with high school grades, including students with IEP's and 504s; as well as 8th grade math. I've had multiple experiences in different school settings including urban districts as well as suburban. I am able to adapt to my surroundings and determine the best way to manage a students progress. Throughout my years of college, being a substitute teacher, cheering coach, a student teacher, and high school math teacher allowed me to gain the knowledge , confidence, and skills that I need in order to connect with students.
