Mark Pinzur, Math Tutor
About
I was a math teacher and department chair in the Cherry Hill high schools for 35 years before going on to teach in a Camden charter school, Burlington County College, and a private school in Burlington. During my career I have taught all math subjects from algebra to calculus.Among my strengths as a teacher are patience, experience., and an ability to break down complex operations into their component parts.
I was awarded teacher of the year at Cherry Hill East in 1979 by the senior class, and the same honor at Cherry Hill West in 2012 by a vote of the faculty.
The best part of teaching is the moment when you can see that a student student understands a topic with which s/he had been struggling. Confidence in one's ability to master concepts begins to improve as a result.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first assess where the student's skill level lies, and then work to improve past knowledge while keeping up with present material.
