About
I offer a variety of services. From cooking classes to social skill to increasing vocabulary. I work with students on their individual needs.
I love workig with kids! I love seeing how they learn, grow, adapt and retain. I enjoy the entire process and engage with each kid wherever he or she is at. Sometimes it is a simple conversation about a book and other times we are practicing math facts. It's different everytime.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like our initial visit to be a "getting to know you". I want to know what the parent/student wants and how best to support the student so success is obtainable.

I have a BA in Journalism from the College of New Jersey. I have been published in national magazine and medical trade publications for the past 2 decades.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $60 per 1 hour session. Up to 3 children in the same family are covered in that fee. I require a booking and payment of 3 sessions after the initial meet and greet.
How did you get started teaching?
I am not a teacher. I am a journalist. I started working with students intitially to increase vocabulary then moved on to comprehension. I have hosted cooking classes, social skills meet ups, math fact practice sessions, games club and reading improvement.

The student must buy into the need for a tutor first and foremost. Next, the student should feel and engagement with the tutor. If they don't mesh it is just not goign to work. go with your gut.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should not have to think through their needs before talking with their teacher. The teacher should have an idea that a student is struggling.
