About
My name is Markos and I am a second year biological sciences major. Additionally, I have a concentration in organismal biology and a minor in accounting. I have been a tutor for over 5 years. Over those 5 years, I have tutored students in a wide range of subjects, most notably biology, chemistry, calculus, algebra, and physics. I have a great interest in the STEM field, and as I learn, I enjoy educating others. I like to structure my meetings by initially determining what concepts are weaknesses and need focus on. This is either done by an assessment or by the student already identifying what they need to focus on. The subsequent lessons would consist of slideshows, examples, practice problems, and worksheets of the concepts that are to be worked on. These excercises will begin to incorporate new topics and will slowly but effectively build the knowledge of the student. I will adjust my approach to a more visual/audio/example based depending on how they learn best.
